Upload fonts to your Brand Kit to help keep designs on-brand throughout your team.
Who can upload fonts?
- Team owners, administrators, and brand designers
- Canva Pro, Canva for Teams, Canva for Education, and Canva for Nonprofits
What to expect
- Canva supports OTF, TTF, and WOFF.
- Your fonts should be licensed for embedding. Otherwise, they may not upload.
- You can upload a maximum of 500 fonts per Brand Kit.
Uploading fonts
If you’re part of multiple teams, see if you’re in the correct one first by clicking on your account icon on the top corner of the homepage. The team that you’re on will have a check mark.
1) From the homepage side panel, click Brand.
2) Click the Brand Kit tab. If you have multiple Brand Kits, select one to customize.
3) Under Brand fonts, click Upload a font.
4) Select the file to upload, and click Open. Only upload fonts that you’re licensed to use. Confirm and wait for the upload to finish. If your font doesn’t upload, check our article on Font upload errors.
Using uploaded fonts
Your uploaded fonts can be used the same way as fonts from the Canva library.
- Click on a text box.
- Click on the Font dropdown on the toolbar above the editor.
- Your uploaded fonts will appear under your Uploaded fonts. To set it as a heading, subheading, or body text box under Brand Kit, see Setting up and using brand fonts.
For fonts with multiple weights, you’ll see them grouped. Click the arrow next to it for the list.
If the fonts are not grouped correctly when uploaded, there may be a problem with the metadata in the font file. Please delete them and update the metadata with the correct family name before re-uploading.
